We are Hiring: Pipeline Origination and Credit Assessment Consultant (Tanzania)
About the Role
iGravity is looking for a Pipeline Origination and Credit Assessment Consultant to support its investment activities in Tanzania.
The role focuses on building and converting a qualified pipeline of SME borrowers across iGravity’s fund mandates, owning the front end of the deal lifecycle from identifying and sourcing prospective borrowers to screening them against the relevant investment criteria.
The Consultant will be responsible for sourcing SME borrower leads across sectors and geographies in Tanzania, maintaining a stage-gated pipeline, and conducting initial screening and pre-due diligence assessments. This includes reviewing financial statements and impact considerations, conducting KYC/AML checks, and preparing screening memos and supporting analysis for internal review and consideration for Due Diligence.
The role will work across multiple sectors and facility mandates, identifying potential opportunities and flagging facility-fit considerations or cross-facility opportunities to the reporting lead. The Consultant will also maintain relevant borrower and referral-source networks and keep iGravity’s CRM pipeline up to date.
The engagement offers an opportunity to work closely with iGravity’s investment teams in Nairobi and Zurich and contribute to the development of SME financing opportunities in Tanzania. The position is structured as a 6-month independent contractor engagement, with the opportunity to develop into a permanent position over time, subject to performance.
